Let's Make a Telegram Bot!

Book Description
Are you on Telegram? Have you used a Telegram bot? Ever thought about building one? ...No? How about now?

Making a Telegram bot is easy; deciding what it should actually do is hard. Follow along in this casual organic exercise of fandom creativity as we build a Telegram bot from the ground up! No programming experience required! (I'll cover that part, though all are welcome to help.) Bring your own laptop and follow along, pitch ideas, help correct my stupid mistakes if you have the know-how, or just come hang out and nerd out.

We'll be building our bot using the node.js runtime environment (https://nodejs.org/en) and TypeScript programming language (https://www.typescriptlang.org/). We'll also use a library that lets us easily interact with Telegram's bot API (https://github.com/Borodin/typescript-telegram-bot-api).

I'll be providing an empty project with everything we need to get moving to save time on setup. (If you're familiar with Git, I will share this code in a repository. If you're not familiar, no worries! There will be also be a project download link.) If you'll be joining in on writing the code, I prefer Visual Studio Code as my text/code editor (https://code.visualstudio.com/), but use what works for you!
